This, the sixth, Annual NMC Midwifery Conference will be held in Belfast on Wednesday 21 October 2009. The conference is a key event for midwives, maternity service users, women's organisations and key stakeholders to meet and explore the relationship between good midwifery practice, women's experience of maternity care, statutory supervision of midwives and regulation. In 2009, the focus for the conference will be on the statutory supervision of midwives and we are now seeking submissions for the keynote and concurrent sessions at the conference.
